It was in 2007 that Fabien Duperray bought the Jules Desjourneys estate, 9 hectares of old vines located in Beaujolais between the Chénas, Moulin-à-Vent and Fleurie appellations. In 2009, the vineyard was certified organic.
After having rubbed shoulders with the greatest: Jean-Yves Bizot, Christophe Perrot-Minot, Arnaud Ente... Fabien Duperray decided to go his own way by creating the Domaine Jules Desjourneys, in tribute and with the vision of the pioneer of natural wine Jules Chauvet .
The passion for great Burgundies being always in the mind of our talented and tenacious Fabien Duperray, he continued his journey by acquiring a few plots in the Mâconnais: Pouilly Fuissé, Pouilly Vinzelles and Saint Véran. With one and only goal to produce the best possible wine, biodynamically, with the greatest care in the vineyard and the highest precision in the cellar.
