Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon
Milly-Lamartine
An emblematic figure of Meursault and of Burgundian excellence, Dominique Lafon decided in 1999 to set his sights on the Mâconnais, convinced of the exceptional quality of these predominantly limestone soils in southern Burgundy.
The Domaine des Héritiers du Comte Lafon was born: today it is about twenty hectares of vines mainly spread over 3 large sectors. The Milly-Lamartine/Bussières sector, the Chardonnay sector, and the Viré-Clessé sector where the Estate has owned more than 6 hectares of vines since the end of the 2000s. And this beautiful story continues to move forward since the Domaine now operates vines in Saint-Véran and now in Pouilly-Fuissé...
Caroline Gon has managed since 2006, under the benevolent eye of Dominique Lafon, the 26 hectares of vines of this estate. All the vines are labeled organic and biodynamic. The use of large containers, tuns and demi-muids, accurately avoids the pitfall of wines too marked by wood.
